Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Password (stored securely using industry-standard encryption)
  • Display name (optional)

Photos and Media

To provide our core service, we collect and process:

  • Photos you upload for animation
  • Memory prompts or descriptions you provide (optional text you enter to guide the animation)
  • Generated animated videos created from your photos

Usage Information

We automatically collect certain information about your use of the App:

  • Number of generations created
  • Subscription status and history
  • App interactions and feature usage
  • Device type and operating system version

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) through RevenueCat. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card numbers, bank account information, or other financial details. We only receive confirmation of your subscription status.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Process your photos and generate animated videos
  • Store and display your generation history
  • Manage your subscription and provide premium features
  • Send important service notifications (account security, subscription updates)
  • Improve our App and develop new features

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to provide our App:

Convex (Backend Infrastructure)

We use Convex to securely store your account data, photos, and generated videos. Convex employs industry-standard encryption and security practices.

Replicate (AI Processing)

Your photos are processed by Replicate's AI services to generate animated videos. Photos are transmitted securely and are not used to train AI models. Replicate processes your images solely to provide the animation service and does not retain your photos beyond the processing period.

RevenueCat (Subscription Management)

RevenueCat manages our subscription services and communicates with Apple's App Store to verify purchases. RevenueCat receives limited information about your subscription status but does not have access to your photos or generated content.

Data Retention

We retain your information as follows:

  • Account information: Retained until you delete your account
  • Uploaded photos: Retained until you delete them or your account
  • Generated videos: Retained until you delete them or your account
  • Generation prompts: Retained with associated generations

When you delete your account, we permanently delete all your data, including photos and generated videos, within 30 days. Some anonymized usage statistics may be retained for analytics purposes.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information:

  • All data is transmitted using TLS/SSL encryption
  • Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms
  • Photos and videos are stored in secure, encrypted cloud storage
  • Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel only
  • Regular security audits and monitoring

Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: You can view all your data within the App
  • Correction: You can update your account information in Settings
  • Deletion: You can delete individual generations or your entire account
  • Export: You can download your generated videos to your device
  • Opt-out: You can disable notifications in your device settings

Children's Privacy

Re-Live is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete that information. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. These countries may have different data protection laws. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
